Valentine’s Day Flower Bouquet Options

For decades and even centuries, flowers have been a symbol of caring, love and friendship. There is not a better time than Valentine’s Day to show expressions of romantic love and make someone special smile or maybe even to show someone that you are interested in a relationship. No doubt Red Roses are a favorite at Valentine’s Day but there are many other flowers that can be given and each with a special meaning and symbolism attached to it. Below are some other options if you are feeling like being different this Valentine’s Day.

Orchids –  Always a lovely flowering plant to give some one and relatively easy to care for. As you are selecting your Orchid, some things to remember are that different colors symbolize different things.  Yellow orchids for example symbolize friendship which is not the complete message you want to convey if your are romantically involved with someone. Other choices like purple symbolize admiration and respect whereas white orchids symbolize purity and elegance.

Dahlias – These flowers symbolize a lasting bond. Naturally that is a common theme for Valentine’s Day so what a great choice in flowers. Again colors are so important.  White dahlias represent purity and faith. Blue and green represent a fresh start or a big change in ones life.  Then there are black dahlias. These you should stay away from on Valentine’s Day unless your message is betrayal.
