Huisman Flowers Transition to next generation begins at Holland and Grand Haven retail shops. Grand Rapids, MI Jan 25, 2021 – Huisman Flowers and Eastern Floral jointly announced today the transition of ownership of Eastern Floral’s retail business operations in Holland, Michigan and Grand Haven, Michigan. Nicole and Rick Huisman, daughter and son-in-law of Bing and Jean Goei, have finalized terms under which they will assume ownership of the two floral shops as part of a long-planned business transition. “This is a wonderful day for Jean and me,” said Bing Goei, CEO of Eastern Floral. “As owners of a family business, we’ve always hoped to be able to pass on the business to our children. We are so proud that Rick and Nikki are ready to take over the two lakeshore operations and make our dream come true.” Eastern Floral was established in Grand Rapids in 1950. The flagship operation is located at 2836 Broadmoor Avenue SE. The Holland business, currently located at 11595 East Lakewood Boulevard, was established in the early 1990’s while the Grand Haven store currently located at 556 North Beacon Boulevard began in the early 2000’s.
