Huisman Flowers provides local same day and express flower delivery service to Hope College. Our firm is also known as Eastern Floral Lakeshore. We added Huisman Flowers to our brand in 2021. We still operate our two Eastern Floral Lakeshore flower shops. Both are open to the public and available to in-store shopping.
We have been delivering to Hope College in Holland, Michigan for many years. The address for Hope College is 643 S Waverly Rd, Holland, MI 49423. The main phone number for the Holland Campus is (616) 395-4600. The University normally accepts flower deliveries Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Hope College established their Holland Campus in 1989. They started as a pretty small campus, then expanded to a 10-acre property in 1992. This campus offers an extensive array of business programs. Students from all across the area travel to Holland to attend this great school. Hope College is a private Christian liberal arts college. The campus opened in approximately 1851. Hope College received its state charter in 1866
The “Petal It Forward” event this year happens on Wednesday, October 19th. Huisman Flowers and community volunteers will be handing out floral bouquets on the streets of Holland and Grand Haven. The goal is to bring joy into the recipient’s day and give them the opportunity to “Petal It Forward” by giving one of their two bouquets to another person. Science has proven that flowers reduce stress and anxiety and make people happy! Petal It Forward is a powerful way to send positive vibes in the giving and receiving of flowers. Hope College is one location where students will receive bouquets.
In addition, Huisman Flowers will host a floral design class at their Holland location where the feature design will be Fall Flowers. This is all centered around Petal It Forward and Customer Appreciation for our two-year Anniversary. On Friday & Saturday (Oct. 21st, 22nd) AND Sat. the 22nd they are also having a design class starting at 10am at our Holland location. Cost: $50 and there will be limited spots available. Celebrate Halloween with Huisman’s Flowers Festival Fall Flowers and Plants
Fall is in the air in many parts of the country. One of the historically fun fall holidays is Halloween. It is kind of an ushering in of fall and a kickoff for the upcoming Thanksgiving, Christmas and Hannukah holidays. It is celebrated each year on October 31. They are also the owners and founders of Huisman Flowers. Rick has a deep love for flowers. He also has a passion for baseball. His love of baseball started as an 8-year-old kid. He dreamed of one day playing in the majors. In 1995, that dream became a reality. He took the field for the first time as a major league pitcher for the Kansas City Royals baseball team. Rick has a successful career and one of the hallmarks of his career was being a great teammate.
